Installation on UNIX workstations:

  a) Get the file lipsol041.tar.gz.
  b) Move the file to a directory of yours (the suggested 
     one is $home/matlab).  From there, issue the command: 
            gunzip -c lipsol041.tar.gz | tar xvf -
  c) You will have a new directory called lipsol. Go to the 
     directory lipsol/src and take a look at the README file.
  d) Do Install (typing "Install" without quotes) in lipsol/src.

Read the README file in the directory lipsol for instructions on
running LIPSOL.

Warning:
--------
The Install script has been tested only on Sun and SGI workstations.
Troubles may arise in cases where (1) both Matlab 4 and 5 co-exist; 
(2) the OS system is 64-bit (such as SGI R10000).  I have reported
some bugs to The MathWorks.  It is likely that further problems may 
arise on other untested systems.
